Profile Photos
Your profile photos are typically used on your login screen, dashboard, sales page, and some application graphics. It is important for you to have an image that reflects:
When you are deciding how your photographs will look, take the following into consideration:
Think about how your photos are going to be used.
Outfit
Choose an outfit with neutral colours that will not distract or clash with your logo or brand pallet. Choosing an outfit that features colours within your brand pallet can be an advantage, as it generally ties everything together.
Ex: If your brand colours are red and gold, wearing blue and green colours would clash with your brand palette. Wearing red and neutral colours like black and white would suit better.
Outfit colours are cohesive and would easily match the brand colour palette.
Outfit colours are not cohesive and would struggle to match the brand colour palette.
Spacing and orientation
Your images are most compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile views when you are centered and there is space on all sides around you. This way the image can be cropped and altered without affecting the final result. The example below shows how this makes the image compatible in portrait, landscape, and profile views.
